Beautiful Births Doula Services
We are honored to provide professional Doula Care ( Labor Support ) to enhance the best day of your life, your precious baby's Birth Day.
Lauren and Robin are professionally trained and certified labor support Doulas. We are on call and available for parents 24 hrs a day through all stages of pregnancy and birth.
We truly believe that it is an honor and the most satisfying (and exciting!) gift to be able to guide Moms the amazing birth process and bring a new life into the world. We respect a woman's choice to have the birth she wishes.
When Doulas attend births labors are shorter with much fewer complications. Newborns are healthier and breastfeed more easily. Moms and Partners are comfortable knowing that they have physical, and emotional support, in addition to the tremendous experience we have to offer. We offer a variety of techniques including massage and positions to help you remain comfortable and to accelerate labor.
Our services include:
- Prenatal visit at your home or our office
- Identification of your priorities for the birth
- Assistance with formatting a birth plan
- Meeting with your care provider if desired
- Phone consultations as necessary
- Support throughout labor at home and/or at the hospital or birth
center (with positioning, massage, breathing, etc.)
- Postpartum visit and/or care
- Ongoing support as needed and extensive referral services

Labor is an exciting and sometimes hectic time. We offer a calm that comes with experience, guidance for Mom's partner, and physical comfort for Mom throughout labor. We will assist you at your home, in transition to the
hospital, and through the entire labor process. We know that childbirth is
the experience of a lifetime and memories that you will always hold close to
your heart. Interviews take a moment. Beautiful Childbirth memories last forever. We would love to interview with you to answer any questions,
without a fee.
Postpartum Support Services
At home, we're available to ease the transition into parenthood. We
help to educate you with a hands-on approach of:
- infant care (bathing, swaddling, diapering, cord care, etc.)
- feeding (nursing, burping, minimizing spit up, etc.)
- parent-infant bonding
- sleep patterns, etc.
We are the "extra pair of hands" helping you to accomplish things such as:
- light cooking,
- babies laundry
- assistance with older siblings and their adjustment to baby
- run errands to stores and food market
- organization, etc.
Personal care and companionship for Mom is also imperative.
Mama Yoga and Pilates
Pre and Postnatal
Within every woman is the innate, intuitive wisdom needed for the
process of Birth. Prenatal Yoga and Pilates is an excellent way to prepare
the mind, body, and spirit for the challenges and beauty of motherhood.
Sessions help you free the body of tension and discomfort while preparing
your body and mind for childbirth. No experience is necessary. All
sessions are designed and tailored to meet each client's individual needs
and likes. We are experts in preparing and nurturing the Mom to be through
movement and breathing in a peaceful non-judgmental atmosphere. You have
nothing to lose in trying a session expect tension and stress.

- Strengthens the pelvic floor muscles.

Lamaze Childbirth Classes
Robin Sheldon, certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator and doula offers a
thorough course
to answer all of your questions about the labor and childbirth process.
Learn relaxation
techniques, labor positions, and various coping methods that help make the
process as
comfortable as possible. Classes will also give you an overview of the
physical and
emotional aspects of each stage of the birth process, the various kinds of
pain relief most
commonly used and how to be prepared for unplanned deviations in your birth
plan.
Breastfeeding and basic infant preparedness are also discussed.
